Humans of T4 November 12, 2019

Michelle Starkey of Allied Universal

At Terminal 4, we are continuously striving to find new ways to show our appreciation for our employees. Our series,  Humans of T4 takes pride in honoring all employees who work in the terminal by highlighting inspirational and heartwarming stories of those who make up the T4 family. We invite you to follow along!

 Michelle Starkey–Supervisor,  Allied Universal

For Michelle Starkey, trying to balance being nice and enforcing the traffic rules isn’t hard. “I have to understand that I don’t know what their day has been like. I have to make sure that whatever they’re mad about, I give them a minute to get it together." she notes.

Her compassion makes a major difference in the post-flight experience. "I leave them for a second and they always appreciate me giving them a second to collect themselves. You never know what a person is going through before they even came here." Starkey says.

T4 is a work of art. Really! You’ll find our private collection of world-class paintings, sculptures, and mobiles on display throughout the terminal.

Be Travel-Ready: Plan for a Stress-Free Trip to T4!

Due to construction at JFK, the roadways leading to Terminal 4 may be congested. We highly recommend that our guests allow themselves some extra time to reach the terminal and, whenever possible, use public transportation within the subway system through Howard Beach or LIRR at Jamaica, then use AirTrain JFK.

From there, your ride will be 10 or 15 minutes to the terminal.

Taxis and shared rides from T4 will operate from the Remote Ride App & Car Services Lot, accessible via a free shuttle bus in front of the Arrivals Hall running every 1-2 minutes. Please avoid going with anyone you have not pre-arranged a ride with.
